I went to Germany for the first time ever and had a chance to stay at the Fohr. It wasn't a substandard hotel by any means but I would certainly agree with one of the reviews that its not a 4-star hotel either. Just returned from Freidrichshaffen, traveled there for a 2-day conference, plus a 2-day mini-vacation with husband. Was a bit concerned by one reviewer's comments and I would agree that it is not a 4-star hotel, which implies extravagance and up-scaled furnishings, but I didn't want the impression to be poor, either. I have just returned from a short break to Lake Constance. There were four of us and we stayed in the Hotel Föhr in Frierichshafen having booked Lake View Rooms with a balcony.
