Four people stayed in two rooms at this hotel in late May, 2008. It is a small, simple hotel located a few kilometers from Goslar. Its strongest positive point is cost - 74 Euros per room per night. It is set in a woodsy setting that is very quiet. It has a large restaurant but we did not eat dinner there. Their specialty seems to be fresh trout caught in a stream on the premises.
Our room was simple and small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny. We were one flight up so luggage had to be hauled up the stairs. Breakfast was included - it was adequate but nothing to write home about. There was no Internet service and no phone in the room. There is an Internet cafe in town.
Because it was so quiet and because we could open the windows to the night air, we slept very well. So, if you like value and a quiet setting, this could be for you. If you prefer lots of amenities and like being in the middle of the action, stay closer to the town. We are value...
