A friendly small hotel in the lovely town of Wernigerode. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was reasonable, but make you bring shower gel as only one small sachet was provided daily. I would definitely stay again.

Booked in for three nights, but had to leave after the first one as we were having difficulty breathing, due to the steam engines giving out steam and dirty smoke. Visited Wernigerode for a trip on the Harz railway. Stayed at this hotel as they had rooms overlooking the railway depot. Great for watching the locos being serviced.
