We stayed 4 nights at Apart hotel, and had a wonderful time. Large room with balcony towards the yard, and a big nice bath-room. The hotel has free bicycle rent, which is a good way look around i the area. It is situated at the mainstreet, in the end of the pedestrian area. They have free parking, but may be a little difficult to find by car. Wernigerode is an old town with narrow streets that one.way driven. Michelin map give correct directions. Very good breakfast and a very freiendly staff. When we entered the breakfast romm they always said "Guten morgen. Haben sie gut geschlafen?", and brought the coffee or tea (from day two they remerbered what we wanted). All the city sights is within short walking distance, even the castle if you like some hill-climbing. It should be classified a HOTEL, not a BB. Staff speaks mostly (only??) German. more
