We really enjoyed our overnight stay. We had dinner on the terrace, food and service was excellent. The list of dishes available was small, but what we chose was very good. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed. It was a bit noisy for a short while outside in the hotel grounds very early on Sunday morning.

Looking out on the Bavarian Alps is a good start.. this hotel has a great traditional bavarian style to everything with great food and really positive service from the staff. The rooms are huge and well appointed, spotlessly clean and perfectly finished.

The hotel is under renovation. So no room service. not much to eat. Food at breakfast is average. Rooms are good, clean. Not much to say really. Love the Clairins products in the bathrooms. Has this cottage feel to it. not much to do around here either.

We used the Alpenhof Murnau as our base to go to Oktoberfest. It was great not being in Munich with the throngs. We had a driver for the 30-45 minute drive into the city.
