This was one of my most pleasant travel experiences – Hands Down.
I stayed at the Bavaria for one week while in there on business. After checking in, I went to my room, opened the door that led out onto the balcony, and started laughing hysterically. I could not believe that I was getting paid to be there. It was the most spectacular, picturesque view you could ever imagine. The hotel is right at the foot of the Austrian Alps and there are spectacular views all around (make sure you ask for a room in the front of the hotel as the back of the hotel looks straight into a mountain cliff less then 100 feet away).

There is an indoor and outdoor heated pool, gym, and sauna. The best family style breakfast I have ever had is served every morning in the dining room and there is a full service bar for the evenings. The bar is open for as long as there are customers (we were there well past 3:00 a.m. the first day.
