During previous years’ trade shows at Frankfurt Messe, we stayed at City-Hotel Aschaffenburg and Aschaffenburger Hof. However, both were not available this year, and we settled on Hotel Fischer’s Mainperle. Hotel Fischer’s Mainperle and Hotel Cafe Fischer were owned by the same family in Aschaffenburg, both locations on Weissenburger Strasse, about 30 meters apart. I booked with booking.com and the pictures are not what I got. The place was dingy and small, although the bathroom was clean. It seems they give singles the rooms no one else wants in Germany. Really close to the main train station (one short block) on the main road and a few blocks from Schloss Johannisburg and the Pompejanum... more
