The rooms are clean and in a quiet location. The front desk and restaurant staff spoke very good English and were very welcoming. Nice selection of European style breakfast choices. Rooms are basic but adequate. For info I was here on business and was suitable for the purpose of an overnight stay.

We reserved non smoking rooms, but the rooms smelt of smoke and it turned out they actually gave us smoking rooms. It's a pity a hotel in this category still allows smoking in its rooms. Short walk from the train station, close to the old town (altstadt), and in proximity to restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly, let us check in hours ahead of schedule, gave us a great room with a view, and were very helpful with directions and suggestions. I highly recommend the Achat Plaza.
