This was a very nice overnight stop on a several week trip. Comfortable, clean, friendly. Very good breakfast. I would highly recommend for travellers not needing night life.

Quiet, comfortable hotel conveniently located for Schloss Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau Castle and about 100m from Schwangau lake. Very comfortable and spacious rooms with good views. Good breakfast. Evening meal is served about 7.00pm, whch might be early for some people. We stayed three nights and drove into Fussen for the evening, since the festival was taking place there.

We recently stayed three nights at the Hotel Maximillian in Schwangau. The property is a short drive from the castles with a distant view of Neuschwanstein from some of the rooms. We stayed in the Landhaus Marie, annex to the main hotel. The one bedroomed suite we had was modern,very clean and well equipped and had a patio area.
