Member of a bus party. Seems a cost cutting exercise by the hotel. Room sited at rear of hotel which meant no outlook except noisy narrow lane with extremely noisy tradesmen early hours. Very nice Art Deco hotel with lots of antique furniture. The hotel does have character, unlike most modern hotels. We had a room with view of the Rhine, ships docking right across the street. We recommend a room with balcony and view of the river. Restaurant excellent and the staff was gracious. Our waitress Fran was fabulous. Drove to Boppard but took train to Kolbenz. Everything close in Boppard. Good location and the ferry is right there to get to the east side of the river. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable.

We had a room at the fist floor with a fabulous Rheinview. The rooms and the whole interior of the hotel are very well decorated. Our 2nd visit to this grand old hotel on the Rhine - great accessable location in an interesting-not-too-touristy town. We had a large room with a balcony and side view of the river.
