Hotel Rheinlust has a very unfriendly staff, from the front desk people to the waiters in the restaurants. The room was adequate but very dark (in color -- brown and burnt oranges, but also in terms of inadequate lighting). The view from the balcony room was the best thing about the hotel. more

While I booked my stay by emailing the property directly, there are a couple of websites that offer this hotel for nearly the same price. A really nice stopping point for the middle rhine, staff were helpful, breakfast just fine. If you go in hot weather go out and buy a fan, it changes the room to being totally fine from being unbearably hot. take a travel kettle too! more
