Based on the feedback on this website about the hotel, my family and I were looking forward to a wonderful stay at the Zur Post. Unfortanetly, from the moment we stepped in the hotel it was bad. This beautiful little hotel, originally the postal stop in Bernkastel, was highly recommended by a previous review. On the strength of this five of us reserved rooms for a two-day stay. It did not let us down one bit. We arrived a tad late, about 8:30 or 9:00, and the owner not only welcomed us, but had kept the kitchen... more

My husband and I stayed at Zur Post in September 2001. It is a lovely hotel located right along the river. It is about a two block walk to the center of Bernkastel Kues. There is a car park along side big enough for a least some of their cutstomers. The lobby and public areas have a lot of wood... more
