This lovelly wine growers property is right by the chairlift and close to the town centre. We booked because we had drank wine here years before and liked the style of the winetasting room, plus its location. We are booked in again this June (2007).
All the rooms are reached by a curved stairway and each is fairly old looking, the furniture is also old. The rooms are all that strange shade of brown favoured in the 60's. When was the last time you saw a varnished corkboard ceiling in a bedroom?
Having said that, everything was very clean, servicable and the beds were comfortable. We also had a vine growing around our bedroom window, with the grapes just asking to be picked.
The breakfast area was also the main bar, spacious and airy. Breakfast consisted of the normal cold meats, cheeses, eggs and breads you would expect from a German B&B establishment.
I defy anybody to get better value in Cochem for B&B.
