This modest hotel is really all one needs to put one's head down for a stay in this very typically Swiss mountain village. It'd be great for either a Summer rambling holiday, to stop off whilst negotiating the nearby high mountain passes driving through into Italy, or for a short Winter ski-ing break. Its a family run, very welcoming chalet style hotel with only a handful of rooms. These rooms are basic but entirely adequate. Some even have small balconies looking out onto the main street. But its set back far enough to be free from traffic noise. In fact the main sounds were of the comings and goings of family and friends downstairs in the bar area. There's also an adequate small ski boot-room.
Its only 5 mins slow walk to the railway station from where you arrive by the small mountain railway that completes the journey from Basel or elsewhere in Northern Switzerland, or from where one takes the even smaller train up to the hamlet of Natschen from where most ski pistes...
