This Hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the train station, ideally situated when arriving in to Pfaffikon. The lake view rooms are great, waking up to a view over Lake Zurich with trains trundling past (don't worry the glass is triple glazed) is really quite a good way to wake up. Just where the road through Pfäffikon branches off towards Rapperswil there’s what looks like a small commercial estate, and plonked in the middle of it is a dull metal building housing (among other things) the Seedamm Plaza. Better don't try. They have several cheap offers on Internet including the Alpamare-entry. Per person e.g. 88.-, another one for 98, another one for 140.-. When I wanted to book, they told me that this were typing errors, old offers and whatever and that the cheapest offer would be 190.- per person. Thats more than 100% more. I dont think... more
