Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I can normally find something wrong with a hotel….with this I am struggling….I mean, at first I was struggling to open the little packets of butter but then someone explained you just crack the corner….one of our group did notice the crisp sheets (mentioned on another review) but really this is a hotel which really knows what it is doing and clearly had a tonne of experience. We even got given a rose each on international womens day! It was a 10 minute walk to the ski lockers at Allalin express (but we sort of enjoyed that and I think there is a ski bus but we wanted first ski lifts of day so we just went). Loved the sauna (you book a time just for your group). Picture below. It has 3 beds to lie out on, sofa, sauna, shower, loo, towels. The hotel has a 15% off for the ski shop where the ski lockers are (by the Allalin express) and we found that shop to be very good too (even refunding us 1 day unused ski hire when last day skiing was white out but lovely sharp edges and good skis). The half board menu and breakfast was excellent (remember to book a table/time as it is popular). I wish I could always stay here. I totally understand the great reviews it has had.

An excellent base for a skiing holiday in Saas Fee. The standard of the hotel, and especially the food, were really high. Having a ski store room next to the ski lift made a real difference as well. We booked via Inghams, and the whole experience was very good.

Great location. Easy in and out to ski. Awesome staff. The chocolates everyday were so delicious. The shower was great after a long day of skiing. The kitchen made me a sandwich for my trip back home, since I was going to be up before the kitchen opened. Highly recommend.

This is a really lovely, family run hotel. Our room was very spacious and included a balcony, TV, settee and table and chairs. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly. The food was excellent and, as a vegetarian, I was very well catered for. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and warm. It is well situated close to the shops, bus terminal and only a few mins walk to the gondola. There is a very useful ski storage room in the building opposite the lift. The family really care about their business and it shines through. All in all a really happy holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable hotel. Our room was spacious and immaculate, with a lovely modern bathroom, consistently hot water, comfortable beds, and a great south-facing balcony looking at the mountain. The owner took time to come to speak to us most evenings and we really enjoyed his company. The entire team were friendly and accommodating (a special shout out to Beatrice who made us feel particularly welcome), and we felt very much at home at the hotel. The food was excellent and the chef also took the time to introduce himself. Everything was lovely and fresh and we enjoyed a varied menu every night, including a fondue one night. It was particularly helpful that we had the usual five course dinner even on the night that we arrived, and a full breakfast on the day that we departed. The sauna and relaxation suite was an added bonus as you booked this to yourself - another immaculate space and very relaxing. Overall we would definitely stay at this hotel again and would look forward to doing so: with only 30 rooms you feel part of the family.

I stayed at the Hotel Allalin in Jan 24 as part of a group of 6 friends (all 60 yrs plus). It was, arguably, the best ski hotel we've stayed in. The rooms are generous in size, clean and well maintained as are the common areas. All the staff are professional, courteous and helpful. The real jewel for me, though, was the quality of the food, especially the evening meal. We were offered a 5 course dinner with a choice of soups and mains (pre-ordered at breakfast). The quality of produce, cooking and service was of of the very highest standard. A huge thankyou to the owners and staff at the Allalin.

Room excellent, food excellent, service excellent, welcome excellent. From the moment of our late arrival when we were still provided with a five course meal through the breakfasts, the first class sauna, the welcome complimentary cake and tea/coffee in the afternoon to the morning of our departure everything was first class. Switzerland isn’t cheap but the Allalin was good value even when compared with hotels in other countries. Saas Fee is beautiful and the bars are friendly even if the prices can make the eyes water. Lift passes expensive but no queues! Pay less and queue. Pay more and ski more! But that is a product of the strength of the Swiss Franc. Accept it, relax and enjoy a stay in a lovely resort and great hotel.

What a wonderful hotel! Sometimes you arrive somewhere and you’re disappointed. Definitely not the case here- quite the opposite. Beautiful, clean , warm, comfortable and spacious room with high standard bed linen and towels. Such quiet peaceful nights! The staff are so welcoming and attentive and the food is excellent. I can find absolutely nothing negative to say ( except it would have been icing on the cake if our balcony had been in the sun!)
