we visited hotel on 24th june09 for three nights ,room no118 which has no view ,bed was in pathetic condition ,carpet was of late 60s,t.v was old and too small.it was difficult to stay three nights in such a room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

With many other hotels in Villars, this is not the one to choose. The rooms were tired, rusty knobs, uncomfortable bedding. The staff could not be more unhelpful. The Hotel was part of a coach tour holiday package. Pleasantly surprised and exceeded expectations. Large comfortable rooms. Excellent cuisine throughout with good range of choices each night. 4 nights here as part of a conference. Room was a lot nicer than expected based on hotel website and photos at tripadvisor. Maybe a refurb has taken place? Huge rooms, kept clean though the carpets were replaced in the 60's - they were eroding, relatively clean bathroom, with almost everything you would need but this is definitely not a 4 star hotel.
