We spent 8 nights at the Alexander Hotel in Weggis during August 2008. The comfortable “superior” category room had a flat-screen TV and an excellent view of Lake Luzern. The main attractions of the Alexander, however, were the restaurant and food. We stayed in Hotel Alexander for 3 nights in June. Weggis must be one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland and I definately recommend a stay in this small and picturesque lake village. Although the Hotel Alexander is a good 15 minutes walk to the centre, which means the Boat Station, we didn't find it a problem at all.... more

We stayed ten days and did not want to go home. Weggis is an ideal centre for the area and has more possible excursions than you can fit into a fortnight. The hotels are comfortable and the food well above average. The staff are friendly and give a very good service. We picked the Gerbi because we did not like... more

the holiday was out of this world :) Hotel is family run and all staff are very friendly and helpful. Fluent in English and German. Indoor and Outdoor swimming pool, superb Wellness centre with sauna, gym, steam room, beauty salon etc. Its worth paying for the A rooms facing the Lake - what a wonderful view - have a look... more
