When we were offered a stay with lunch at la Prairie Hotel, I checked trip advisor and was slightly put off by the only comment I found. Fortunately, our experience was totally different.
We were there to enjoy a peaceful week-end with our 2-month old girl, and found a hotel with distinctive charm in a charming location (beautiful trees all around), an smiling staff both friendly and efficient, a spacious room with non-ostencious comfort and a nice spa with a zen feeling to it.
My wife and I also booked an ayurvedic massage, which was in our opinion very good value for 110.- CHF.
The breakfast was decent although not a once in a lifetime experience, but the best surprise was the lunch, which I would hesitate to describe as a gastronomic experience, despite its deceptively cheap price (we had a voucher, so did not pay for it, but the menu was priced at 45.- CHF with an entree, a main, and a dessert).
Altogether, not a second of hesitation to receommend this hotel more
