we booked this really late ( a week before). a swiss friend of mine booked it through the swiss tourist information website, which was useful in identifying a vacancy none of the regular sites could (expedia etc). however when we got there the owner told us we could have booked a single and a double rather than 2 doubles which was all the tourist site said was available. so make sure you phone rather than trusting the web!
hotel was less than a minute from the versmont funicular stop. about 10 mins walk (downhill) from the main village where all the restaurants and shops are, about 15 mins walk to the ski lifts.
family feel to the hotel, comfortable adjustable beds, small bathrooms. some rooms with balconies. try and get a balcony room at the back of the hotel overlooking the vilage and start of the rhone valley further away.
hotel has a living room / bar which closes at 10pm. sauna on 1st floor (costs 10 chf) more
