Stayed three nights as part of group. Hotel closed to other guests as between seasons. We were well looked after, improvements underway to some rooms. The location is great lots to do in all seasons. Would recommend rooms at the back of the hotel as less traffic noise early but all rooms very good. Good food.

Evidently the rooms vary a lot in their current state: ours was large, our 3rd-floor main-block bedroom looked recently renovated, bathroom was spacious and loo-with-a-view but not so upgraded: shower was attached to wall at shoulder height only, and tiling a bit of a muddle.
