We have nothing but praise for this fantastic hotel. We had driven from Italy and came off the motor rail and it is a 1 minute drive from the station. The hotel is centrally located, close to railway station, bus stops, shops and restaurants. The room and bathroom were large, well-appointed and clean. The proprietors and staff were friendly and efficient with fluent English. Nothing was too much trouble. I was surprised that this hotel has only three stars when it seems like a four-star. We stayed for one night only for a hiking weekend in Kandersteg. We strolled in to enquire about a room. The receptionist was very friendly, and gave us the keys to a couple of different rooms to see for ourselves before booking. This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel in a really beautiful Swiss mountain village . The skiing, including Cross Country, Downhill, Snowboarding is really good for families and the walking 'out of this world'. The hotel pool is relaxing after a day out and the comfy lounge more so ! more
