We booked into Yew Tree Cottage because my Great Uncle and Auntie lived at the address many years ago. We thought it would be nice just to see and experience the property, but it went far beyond that. Richard and Teanie warmly embraced us from our arrival and went beyond anyone’s expectations with their care and thoughtfulness until we left.... More

Our choice of Yew Tree Cottage for a three-night gathering of family was largely influenced by the reports on TripAdvisor. As a semi-professional travel writer, I would never have lived it down if the accommodation I chose was less than perfect. No fears! Our hosts hit just the right note and the accommodation was perfect. We had a wonderful 3... More

What a nice couple, I can't find the right words to praise how at home we felt during our 2 night stay. Dispite both haveing injuries, they still provided exceptional hospitality and we would certainly recommend this for a base for getting out and about in the Matlock area. Those in the village we met also only had good words... More

We had a very special 2 night stay at YTC and found it to live up to the expectations we had from reading the reviews on this site. The Rose room in which we stayed was was peaceful, cosy and spotless with an extremely comfortable bed, and an excellent modern en-suite bathroom. Everything else we had read in the other... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was lovely. We were greeted with tea and some gorgeous home-made bakewell slice (which was to die for). We were staying in the Riber Wing which has a living room aswell as the bedroom. The bedroom was lovely and had everything you would need. Tea-coffee making facilities and a lovely addition... More

This is a top B& B where we found a warm, friendly welcome and comfortable, attractive accommodation in a lovely old cottage which has all mod cons including beautifully ironed bedlinen, delicious breakfasts - AND afternoon tea and cake. Teanie and Richard put such care into looking after all their guests. We had such a restoring few days staying here... More

A very warm welcolm from Teenie and Richard upon arrival at this attractive cottage. There were lovely touches such as home made biscuits and tea and bakewell pudding upon arrival. Comfortable rooms/en suites and superb breakfasts. A very good base for exploring the Peak District, and in particular the rich industrial heritage around Matlock and Cromford. In fact, there is... Richard & Teanie are the most welcoming of people and nothing is too much trouble to them. Their home is delightful, very clean and the bed so comfy! The breakfasts are first class and the homemade jam just yummy! The views are just amazing and there are some really lovely walks on the doorstep. We will most definitely be going... More

Teanie and her husband Richard make you feel very welcome, they are very well used to running a b&b and are both real friendly and make you feel at home instantly from the moment you arrive. You get to taste delicious homemade sweets and the breakfast is absolutely wonderful! No wonder that Teanie has won breakfast awards. Since the weather... More
