This was my second short break at Darwin Forest, the first being a hen weekend. A few years later I returned with my husband and 15 month old daughter. We had one of the newer Syline Lodges which was modern, well equipped and above all warm even though there was snow outside. The Soft Play centre is wonderful ( I... More

We stayed at the Darwin Forest Country Park on a 4 night break on February 2012 which was booked through Hoseasons. We had a slight reduction in price with the break coming in at a very reasonable £250.00 in a Riber Skyline Lodge. The Park is located on the top of a hill, in the middle of a forest just... More

Fantastic trip away for my Mums 50th. Even though it was winter, with snow on the ground, we were never short of something to do. The lodge was the perfect place to relax. Would like to return in the summer with our dog. More

This is my second stay at Darwin Forest and it didn't disappoint. A large group of us rented 2 lodges for New Years Eve. Both were well furnished, comfortable and cosy. I didn't try the swimming pool and spa area personally but the feedback from friends was all positive. The only recommendations for improvements are a torch, outside lights for... More

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. For the information of all guests, each lodge has its own external lighting and low level lighting is provided around the main paths and roadways, but we try not to overdo it, so guests can still enjoy the night sky. Each lodge has a torch provided too - sometimes they are tucked... More

I went to Darwin Forest the beginning of Dec 2011 for a long weekend with friends. We booked the Hartington Skyline and was not disapointed. There was 8 of us in total and we all found the lodge to be very nice, modern, relaxing and spacious. We stayed in lodge 71 and was in a perfect location. The lodge had... More

For the 7th year we are staying at Darwin Forest for Xmas. Still superb staff and welcome from the reception team and Mike, Julie, Terry, Jill and team at The Foresters. Now have free wifi in the lodge and limited (despite the parks best attempts) mobile reception. The only disappointment, and the one thing which may stop us returning next... More

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your latest holiday with us at Darwin Forest and thank you for your positive response. We do our best to accommodate pets, having a number of lodges set aside for them to share with their owners, dog showers, walks etc. However, we find that most guests prefer the restaurant to be kept free so... We stayed here for a week with our son (20 months old) and it was perfect. The lodge was child friendly and very clean. The facilities were excellent - the use of the swimming pool, the free toddler play room, the forest walks and trails. Although you have to pay extra for certain activities (e.g. the mini golf and the... More
