Quite nice rooms. Large area. Friendly but ignorant staff and some are quite lazy. The so called botanical garden is a bad joke. The maps of the area were probably once up to date. As a matter of fact, the whole hotel resort has by far exceeded the best before date.

The location is great but no chef so the food was just made in the micro wave. Furthermore the food is seriously overpriced compared to the quality they serve. They should also add prices for everything you can order.

It is a petty that we only spent a night at Sueño Azul, as the place is worth stopping halfway between Arenal and Tortuguero. The country state is big and it offersthepossibility to hike, swim, to ride, relax.... It is a perfect place to enjoy nature. The facilities are good, but do not expect any luxury.

This hotel was the perfect Costa Rican experience. I was a little worried, there was no air conditioning, no Tv, no phone...turned out to be a great visit. The hotel is located in a remote area, great for spotting wild life. It was great falling asleep to the sound of nature. The food was great, and the staff very friendly.
