The food was good, we could take the dog, who was welcome in the Bar and in the bedroom, we were not allowed to take him in the Restaurant, but that was fair enough. The food is the same in both Restaurant and Bar, and was extremely good. The staff are very friendly and we felt immediately at home. Breakfast... More

We visited The Bridge Inn while we were staying in Grinton for a week. Although we didnt have anything to eat in the pub the food looked very nice and looking at the menu it all sounded delicious with a few game dishes on there. We found the pub very friendly. Friendly staff and friendly locals. Good selection of real... More

First the positives:- the location is fantastic for walking, mountain biking and visiting the Dales. The food was very good, restaurant quality traditional foods. The beer was very good, a good mix of well kept real ales and Peroni lager. The negatives: The room was very 1980's in décor with varnished pine 3x2s and framing screwed to the ceiling to... More

Great location and well worth the 10 minute walk from Reeth given some of the reviews of pub accomodation there. Fantastic food - steak and Pork were excellent. Can eat in bar or resturant. Good beer to wash it down with Dog friendly Room nicely appointed - hairdryer didnt work but another already supplied- shower a bit tempremental!! Only drawback... More

We stayed at this pub on the Herriot Way walk and found it to be a great, 'proper' pub, friendly and unassuming. The rooms are simple but got everything you need and the pub is agreat place to relax and get great food after a long day's walking - lovely More

Stayed at The Bridge Inn with my partner and two dogs. When we arrived Sunday lunches were being served which looked excellent. The bar was full of what seemed to be a mixture of locals and tourists eating and drinking giving a good atmosphere. Plenty of dogs in the bar who all seemed to be welcome. Our bedroom was quite... The Bridge Inn is one of surprisingly few pubs with accommodation in and around Swaledale in the North Yorkshire dales, one of the most charming and unspoilt corners of England. In a fine old building at the eastern end of the valley, the Bridge Inn offers very comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast and good pub food in the cosy bar... More

We booked here because it accepted pets. The food was good, but then things went downhill. We were unable to get to sleep (including the dog) until 1am because of noise from the bar. When we brought this up the next morning the staff were unsympathetic. We were told that we shouldn't expect to get a decent night's sleep in... More

First impressions on this Hotel are good. A warm log fire and real ales with the promise of good food and a late bar. Indeed the beer was excellent (Theakstons with occassional guests) and the local lamb and beef made for a fantastic evening meal topped off with a plate full of local cheeses. A good wine list and those... More
