Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here a while back, this place apart from the fact that is grim inside for the price, it has parties every weekend, when I say parties I mean dodgy parties with questionable people, they block the road, they swear at other guests, I once seen someone carrying a knife inside the restaurant, they invite over 300 people but they don’t have more than 1 bouncer and 5 waiters which I think is a health and safety risk for other members of public and other residents. Be wary

The worst experience ever! Hotel appeared derelict upon arrival, had to prebook breakfast and no one had bothered to restock the fridge in the bar. The room had holes in the carpet and threadbare also had a musty smell. When we ordered a drink at the bar, the guy insisted on us paying cash and when we paid and sat down he proceeded to void off the drinks from the till and pocket the cash! I’m not sure why we had to prebook breakfast, we didn’t get what we ordered. Everything stone cold, eggs crispy and hard. Bacon so over cooked I picked up both stuck together rashers and it was so rigid that it could have been mistaken for a child plastic toy! I’m not sure how the beans ended up tasting like salt and vinegar? All I can think of was that they were left open in the fridge for a long while and were on the turn! The coffee was more like gravy and was absolutely terrible. £80 a night and 3 stars my arse, I’ve been robbed! Avoid this at all costs

Old and unkempt. Double room was small, cramped and unkempt with huge amount of mold on bathroom window. Double bed was tiny. Breakfast was at best luke warm with very cheap ingredients, couldn't eat it. The coffee was undrinkable!! Definitely not recommended!!

Stayed here for the night after a concert at the O2. Check in was smooth and the lady very friendly. Room was tired and needs some TLC. It was warm, bedding was clean but the carpet had stains on and holes in on one side. Bathroom was a good size but freezing (I stayed in December). There was a towel rail in the bathroom but couldn't find a switch to turn it on. Shower cubicle could do with a good clean - there was mould between the tiles and around the door. Similarly the windows in the bedroom had a lot of mould around and were dripping wet in the morning. I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that (I took my own breakfast to have in my room). The hotel is only a 10 min drive to Upminster where I got the tube to the O2 (usually get train/tube from there but there was a train strike). When I got back to hotel around midnight the room door lock wouldn't unlock (it's the old fashioned real key type). The night security man came up and managed to wiggle the key to get it to work properly. Overall, for the price it was warm and comfy in the bedroom but I'd look elsewhere next time unless completely stuck.

We stayed here for one night after an event in London. The reception desk is manned 24hrs so we checked in around 1am. The guy on reception was friendly and helpful (who also cooked our breakfast in the morning too), gave us forms to fill out for what we'd like for our breakfast. We checked in quickly and went straight to our room. The room is slightly dated in terms of carpets and curtains, but all bedding clean and tidy, kettle with teas/coffee's and nice touch having two bottles of water, (just what we needed after a long journey). Bathroom had soap and shower gel and plenty of clean towels. The only "downside" was the shower, it really could do with an extra clean or to reseal the edges. Hotel has plenty of parking and in a really quiet location overlooking fields. 10 minutes from Upminster station. I would stay here again if we had events in London of an evening as its great location, quiet and great value for money.

For the price I paid for my booking I did not expect such a large, warm, comfortably spacious room. My bed was huge and there was also a large desk with chair, easy to use TV and light, pleasant shower room. The hotel had ample parking spaces, A bar and is surrounded by countryside. Very quiet at night. My cooked breakfast was delicious, albeit no cereal or fruit juice to start with. There were no table napkins and I noticed guests wiping their fingers on the table cloths. There was one guy running the whole show and he was superb! He was so pleasant and polite, with a huge, infectious grin. Hotels like this are very rare within Greater London for the amount they charge.
