The Crown Inn serves pretty good (but not great) pub food at central London prices, despite being in rural Berkshire. We had x4 meals and each seemed about 25% more expensive than other pubs in the area: Steak and Ale pie with chips - £16 (not much meat in the pie, but was tasty) - pie and chips for £16??... More

I was part of a large group who had booked a function room to celebrate a wedding anniversary. On arrival the room had not been set out as per instructions. During the meal a dirty piece of cutlery fell from a plate as one of the staff members was clearing the table, it landed on my suit jacket leaving a... More

Stayed just one night but would stay again. Pleasant welcome and good room. Restaurant had excellent food but was rather busy. Breakfast was superb. More

I'll review the food first: It's just amazing. It is pricey enough to be a treat, but it is worth every penny. The service is good too. The main pub is nicer than the conservatory style 'dining room', but both are lovely to eat in. The garden is very pleasant too, perfect for a pre-dinner Prosecco! We've been for lunch,... More

Excellent service both in the hotel and the restaurant, food quality excellent. Only negative was the room whilst superficially clean would benefit from a thorough clean - particularly the bathroom. Should the occasion arise we would happily stay here again. More

We have been regulars at the Crown for the last few years and had a great stay as always. Had dinner with friends and it was really good, and the rate for the bedroom was an unexpected bonus. Even though there was apower cut in the morning, the staff made a fantasic effort to still serve us a lovely breakfast.... More

We stayed here after getting married locally and were disappointed. No allowances were made for us, not even to say congratulations. The rooms, well, they were a chalet out the back. Insects had made their home in there before us, the lampshade was torn to pieces, and when having a shower the entire bathroom becomes soaked. The duvet was far... More

Have stayed at The Crown several times in the past but not for about a year until we stayed a couple of weeks ago. What a difference from our previous visits. The standard of the rooms, restaurant & bar have slipped considerably. Our room, particularly the bathroom, was dirty (toilet looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned for ages) &... More

Stayed here for best part of a week. Fantastic food, good rooms, found the staff and management extremely friendly and very helpfull. Made for a great stay during Henley Regatta week, brilliant option away from the madness (and very pricey) Henley hotels. Cant recommend it enough! More
