We had Sunday Lunch here 12 May and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed. It is more expensive than most restaurants in the Bridgend area but it is definitely worth it. Plenty of choice, very tasty and well cooked food, extras such as sorbet, soup taster and petit fours mean that it is a great experience and overall good value... More

We ate at the restaurant on Sunday 17th Feb 2113 as half of a party of four, we have eaten here before, and certainly will again, Though we find the decor at Bryngarw is now somewhat dated and a little tired...it does not in any way mar the eating experience....the staff were as always very attentive and professional, even whilst... I can honestly say this is the WORST restaurant I have EVER eaten in. Visited on Sunday 17th February as a party of 4 people. The Manager Mrs Andrea Thomas was not at the restaurant that day. The conservatory style room is tired & grubby. I sat in a puddle of stickiness on the floor which was most uncomfortable. The... More

My partner and I booked a table at the restaurant to celebrate a job promotion for me. I have dined here a number of times in the past and the food as it was this time is always of a high standard. Unfortunately I found it difficult to enjoy my meal whilst wearing my coat – I tried to dine... More

My husband & I booked to stay at Bryngarw on Saturday 9th January, as a late anniversary gift to each other. We always request room 18, which is upstairs in the annex. It is a lovely big warm room. Yes there is a small TV, but we haven't booked to sit in our room watching telly. Really comfy bed. Shower... More

We were a group of 12 people celebrating a 90th. birthday in the Harlequin restaurant. The staff were very helpful when we called earlier in the day to put up banners and photographs. They also hid a surprise birthday cake and presented it with candles lit at the appropriate time after the meal. The meals were excellent and enjoyed by... More

The New Cafe lunchtime service has no resemblance to that at the main house at all. They have a professional friendly staff that give service with a smile. The coffee and snacks were excellent whilst sitting at windows seats looking out over the lovely grounds and abundant wild life. I would not give Bryngarw House a star for lunchtime snacks.... More

Stayed at this hotel on a midweek special deal. On arrival we were dealt with efficiently and given our room key, told it was in the annex which is not part of the main building. It was absolutely pouring with rain and to get to the room we had to walk outside in the rain. Not a good start, however... More

My husband and I stayed at Bryngarw House at the end of August, 2012. We were allocated room 16 in the Annex building. On entering the room, we were faced with an overwhelming unpleasant disinfectant smell. We quickly opened the windows and decided not to complain as we were aware of a wedding party residing at the hotel that evening... More

I agree that there are aspects of Bryngarw house that need some addressing, but, you cannot fault the overall experience, have just returned from one of the offers for Saturday night. A three course a la carte menu with little appertisers and tasters in between. Bed and full locally produced breakfast with lots of choice and a lovely roon with... More
