Wonderful clean rooms, nice views, best breakfast you´ve ever had , a big garden with lots of flowers, birds and places to relax , ideal to take trips to the Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, Beara Peninsula, Glengariff and Killarney! I stayed here with my friend when we were visiting Ireland in June 2012. We decided to drive the ring of kerry so wanted somewhere enroute. When we arrived Tom couldn't have been more welcoming, he showed us to the living room and advised us to make ourselves at home. He then showed us to our room which was so... More

What a relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Tom was a gracious and kind host. This is the perfect location for visiting Kenmare, and the ring of Kerry. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed visiting with the other guests and Tom. The brown bread here was our favorite!

When we decided to do the Ring of Kerry day tour, my husband looked online to find accommodation in a centralised locality. Birchwood in Kigarvan was our choice - and the stay was perfect in every way. Tom and Mary were kind enough to answer all our concerns about travelling etc before hand, so that by the time we got... The proprietor Tom was the perfect host. He kindly dropped us in to the village to the pubs which were great fun - and had super traditional music. The breakfast table was laid beautifully with white linens and the scrambled egg was just perfectly cooked as was everything else our friends had. Homemade brown bread, teacake and real butter on... This was our first trip to Ireland and we wanted a central location to enjoy Cork and Kerry County. Tom and Mary are terrific hosts and run an outstanding operation. We had a double and a single room. Both were very comfortable and clean. The mattress and bedding is of high quality and a real pleasure to sleep in. The... More

This is a lovely house in a very peaceful location. We had large, very well furnished, room with a tiny ensuite, and were made to feel welcome by Tom who gave us lots of information about the locality. The breakfast choice was very good, and there were some interesting extras (like various cheeses) that you don’t usually find on the... More

Have stayed here on Easter and Summer cycling breaks for many years now. It's not just in the Premier League of B&Bs, but right up there at the top. Outstanding welcome, nice rooms, and food that would not be out of place in a good restaurant (no kidding!) This is the perfect base for cycling, or hillwalking in Kerry and... More

First B&B experience I had and it was much more then I expected. The room was very clean and the bedding was really nice. Tom had Breakfast ready for us such a kind host. We really didn't want to leave. I would stay there again. Our stay was Simply the Best!
