I live reasonably local to this hotel but on this particular night I was attending a wedding nearby & due to the rural area I didn't want to get a taxi home hence my stay. I would completely recommend anyone to stay here. The location is idyllic and the Old Mill buildings extremely pretty on the eye. On my arrival... More

Dear SuzanneClaire, Great to see your review - thank you so much. We're very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. When we bought the premises, the guest accommodation building used to be a craft centre and the area that became the room that you stayed in was occupied by a glass engraver. A little different now. Susan and Neil. More

Arrived on a Friday where I was given a warm welcome. Both the room and the shower was very clean. The garden outside is immaculate and very pretty. The breakfast was great because everything was so tasty. I would definitely stay here again :)

Dear Bhavin M. Thank you for your review, it was good to meet with you and your family. Much credit to our gardener Andrew. He looks after the lawns and shrub pruning with the occasional border dig etc. We look after weeding, planting out of Summer bedding and the odd new shrub or plant. We're off to Bodnant Gardens today... More

Ian and I decided to spend a night away from home and discovered the lovely Old Mill and its beautiful location and surroundings. We arrived quite late and were welcomed by Susan who contacted The Cherry Tree to check whether they were still able to serve meals. They were and we walked the 2 minutes it takes to get there... Dear Susan E, Thank you for taking the time to review The Old Mill. Your comments gave Susan quite a boost. You mention the dining room. It looks quite new in many ways and many think that we built the room on ourselves. Actually it was built onto the side of the building many years ago - long before we... More

We are three individuals who travel to Wales several times each year, for three to five days. From the time we discovered The Old Mill , and for the past five years, we have stayed with Susan and Neil on each visit. Their professional and friendly care, and their courteous and meticulous attention to detail would be difficult to find... More

Thank you ShielaS866. It's always good to meet up. We're glad that you enjoy the buildings and garden, I have to say that we do too. It's been a busy time putting things right outside after the snow of a couple of weeks ago and winds last night. A bit of pruning and hoeing of beds goes a long way.... More

We could not be more impressed with our short stay at The Old Mill, run by a most welcoming couple Susan & Neil. Firstly our en-suite double room apart from being spotlessly clean was warm and cosy and inviting as well as providing us with tea ,coffee, and hot chocolate making equipment. The full on english breakfast was fantastic & really set... More

We stayed one night at The Old Mill; totally unplanned but completely snow bound on the way to a caravanning holiday! Susan and Neil were so welcoming and even came out in the snow to greet us. My husband, our daughter and myself were shown to a lovely family room (double and single bed) with plenty of space, spotlessly clean,... More

Service was faultless both at check-in and check-out. Breakfast was faultless with high quality produce and attentive at table service. Room was faultless - comfortable, spotless, good attention to detail and with all amenities provided. In a word - the stay was faultless! Guest accommodation that punches well above its weight. Only a short stay and unlikely to be passing... More

We stayed here for the second time last week. Stayed in the family room (A double bed and a single) which was ideal in terms of space and facilities. The owners, as before, made us feel very welcome and no request was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and cooked to order so was nice and hot, plus there... More

We stayed five nights in late September at the Old Mill, as the last part of a honeymoon trip around the UK. It was the most comfortable and pleasant part of our stay. The hotel is small, very quaint and beautiful, and best of all was the person service by the owners, who now feel like friends. Also, the cooked... More

Booked this place without checking it out, and was delighted by the comfort of the rooms, the helpfulness of the hosts and the value for money. One of those places that is so well run it seems to glide on oiled rails.
