Chilly Powder is a hotel but with the personal touches of a chalet. We have been operating ski chalet holidays of excellence since 1995. The genuine ski to the door location of our 3 luxury catered chalets with unrivalled in-house childcare facilities sets us apart from other ski chalets in Morzine. The pistes from Morzine Avoriaz descend straight into the garden and the main cable car opposite the chalet takes you to the heart of the Morzine Avoriaz skiing with the best access to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. There are well over a hundred catered chalets in Morzine but only a handful can boast ski to the door locations. With all en-suite bedrooms, outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and in-house childcare in our crèche, the chalet is absolutely unique in Morzine for small or large groups or families with children or babies. The truly excellent cuisine, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere of the chalet make it the perfect holiday destination and for our many returning guests it is considered a real home from home.

Absolutely fantastic stay with Chilly powder we had the Plan de Roches to ourselves (grp of 10) lovely set up, very clean and tidy. Laura and Sam looked after all of us anything we needed we just asked. Food was 5*, presentation was 100%. We will definitely book again.

This review is a tale of two halves I believe, the staff are super friendly and the hotel is really clean and warm, they have everything in the room from shampoo right through to an ironing board and hair drier, a booklet about local amenities was a great touch too! The hotel is situated about 10/15 min walk up a slight hill to the main gondola to Avoriaz and a bus is also available to and from Morzine. Breakfast is mainly continental and the dining room consists of several large tables and the tiniest cute bar within the main hub of the hotel. The small ski room does not have heated boot warmers so this maybe something to consider when booking, the room is warm though. However…this is very much a young family oriented hotel which consists of an in house crèche, and a listening in babysitting service for parents staying within the hotel, great if you have young children but not so much if like us you went as a couple. Maybe we were unfortunate but during our stay they had 2 very young children that cried and screamed from the minute they woke till the minute they went to sleep in the evening. The corridors were very noisy due to children running up and down them obviously excited for their holidays. Breakfast was again a noisy family affair with the chaos that the mornings bring so if you want a quieter breakfast then I suggest heading in for around 9am. Our room was very clean and serviced daily, sadly the bed was a little too firm for me so wasn’t the best nights kip, but that’s just personal preference. The shower was super hot and powerful it’s just a shame that the enclosure was too small making showing a bit tricky but a powerful shower non the less. It’s a perfect hotel for young families but definitely not for couples.

We have stayed here a number of times and everyone makes you feel at home and welcome. It is very easy to get to from Geneva and very close to the main ski lift to Avoriaz. The accommodation is always spotless and clean and you can see alot of attention to detail. The staff were all very friendly and food was excellent. Highly recommend it.

As returning customers, our experience at Chilly Powder continues to exceed expectations. The warm welcome from familiar faces like Nick, Cosmin, and Dara creates a comforting atmosphere that instantly feels like home. The childcare remains exceptional, with Aoife, Niamh and the team at the creche providing a friendly and nurturing environment for our son. Their dedication adds an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. The culinary delights crafted by the chefs continue to impress. From light starters, mouthwatering mains, and delicious desserts, each meal is a culinary journey worth savouring. Finally, a special nod to Jack, whose outstanding service deserves name-worthy praise. Once again, thank you for another fantastic week filled with warmth, delicious meals, and the exceptional hospitality that keeps us coming back. Chilly Powder remains our top choice for a ski holiday, with unparalleled childcare and a welcoming team.

Lots of positives staying at this Hotel . Main positive is the friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble and Cosmin was the stand out individual. The room we were in was roomy and pleasant . The products in the bathroom were pleasant. The TV worked well . Breakfast plentiful and delicious . Boot room didn’t have dryers but fortunately we had our own in our room. Ski room ideal and near to main lift . Unable to use closer lift due to lack of snow . Evening meal was a little late for us but I understand the reason for this as many guests had young children to get to bed. Sadly my husband picked up a bug or food poisoning on the the last night and was extremely unwell. A few days prior to this a father was sitting at breakfast with his 4 yr old holding a vomit bag saying his children had been ill all night which as well as being particularly unpleasant for other guests was also a huge red flag for transmitting infection. I gather others including staff were also unwell the same night as my husband . Really unfortunate as this has marred our stay at Coin De Feu . I think particularly when small children are around the hotel needs to be more proactive with infection control . I understand these things happen but I do hope no one else was affected especially with half term coming up .

Dear Chilly Powder family, we would like to thank you for the closeness, sincerity and good service you showed during the holiday I spent with my family and friends. The breakfast is wonderful. Our hotel is 150 meters close to the cable car. I would also like to mention the priority and price advantage given in the ski rental service. We hope to see you again, with the desire to come again and enjoy our holiday with your wonderful hosts.

What an unbelievable stay we had at Chilly Powder in January for what was my first ever skiing holiday. It might be cold outside but you get such a warm welcome from everyone at this place, which is located a ten-minute walk from the Prodains Express cable car to Avoriaz. All the staff remember your name, greet you with a smile and never once forgot I was vegetarian. They do the small things that make a big difference, and which are so sorely lacking at so many places nowadays. So thanks to general manager Nick, operations chief Cosmin, Dara, Grainne (and her two-year-old son Charlie!) plus hosts Liv, Laura, Jack, Sophie, Angus and Ben and all the other folk who made our stay such a memorable one. The cosy accommodation ticked all the boxes and the daily culinary experiences and social meets with the other guests were a great experience. You can get your skis delivered directly to Chilly Powder through Doorstep Skis and there are also massages available from Rachel in the yurt next to the main building. A bus journey into Morzine takes about five minutes. It really was the perfect trip and so much of it was down to Chilly Powder. So many of the other guests who were there during our stay were back again - and we definitely will be too!

Very beautiful hotel, clean tidy, very helpful staff. I was only here one night and was in the wedding room - cannot fault room at all. Dinner was amazing and staff lovely. Lovely fire going, jacuzzi outside which was nice looking up at mountains. I missed breakfast due to leaving early but I am sure if it’s as good as dinner would have been amazing. Bed comfortable and robes in room

Great staff (very friendly and accommodating), good location, good banter, would recommend! Stayed in Chalet Prodains and it was very private but with the facilities of the main Chalet in shooting distance, and lift (to upload) very close by (and quick) - skiing back to the door!
