This was our fourth stay in the Tithe Barns! Abercelyn offers excellent clean quality accomadation in Bala, which is a good base for exploring North Wales. This is ideal accomadation if your a walker, mountain biker or kayaker! It benefits from an easy booking procedure and has probably the best website I've come across! More

I've stayed a few times at Abercelyn and been on guided walks with Ray one of the owners, he knows the area like the back of his hand, and is able to lead walking guests of any ability who wish a trip out onto the hills in complete safety. I agree with the positive comments and add that the library... More

The tithe barn 1 has been converted very thoughtfully & has lots of character. It is lovely & warm with plenty of hot water whenever you want it. It has everything you might need for your stay. The ceiling height was perfect for me but would be difficult in the bathrooms if you were tall!! Would recommend for a getaway... More

Myself and my partner were looking for a relaxing long weekend away and this was the perfect place. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Ray and Lindsay, who then proceeded to make the most amazing breakfasts we'd ever had! The house itself was gorgeous and the kind we could only dream of owning. We of course hope to... More

Our stay was all too brief but I would highly recomend Abercelyn. Wonderful cake, breakfast and every detail is thought of in the rooms. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future. Thanks Ray and Lindsay! More

We stayed at Abercelyn for the Bala triathlon week-end and enjoyed our stay very much.On our arrival we were met by Lindsay who made us feel welcome and made us cup of tea and a lovely piece of her homemade cake. Abercelyn is a beautiful country house and has a lovely garden which unfortunately we did not have time to... More

We have just returned from a great short holiday staying at Abercelyn, which is a house full of character ... and also having a beautiful garden with a stream. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival by Lindsay, and immediately offered tea and lemon sponge cake! Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortably furnished in keeping with the... More

We decided we wanted a convenient base to explore the beautfiul Snowdonia national park and rather unwhittingly I allowed my manfriend to choose the accommodation(!) What a great surprise that turned out to be! Driving in the late afternoon from Cardiff we arrived close to midnight and Ray didn't mind staying up to welcome us and show us to our... More

We spent three nights here. Lindsay and Ray are gracious hosts. The property is well located and has good grounds. The room was comfortable with a very good bathroom with fresh and tasteful linen. Ray provides excellent suggestions on walks and pubs nearby. We will definitely try to visit again. More
