Overnight stay in Truro with family. Comfortable, clean rooms and modern en suite shower rooms. Parking on site. The owners were very welcoming and cooked an excellent breakfast. Cliftons is conveniently located for access to Truro on foot. Would recommend.

Such a beautiful guesthouse and the owners were so friendly and kind. Their local knowledge was really helpful and they made our stay even more enjoyable. They even gave us a map of the area and helped us navigate the area by drawing on all the places we were going to visit. Also The breakfasts were amazing.

Peter and Norbert are excellent hosts, providing comfortable accommodation in this lovely B&B which is a short walk to the city centre. They were welcoming, helpful about finding our way into the city and the breakfast was exceptional with local quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I had a Full English the first day which was date I say it too much.. day 2 I had scrambled egg on toast and again it was cooked perfectly.

The room was spacious, the en suite very good, everything you could want - from a large shower to thoughtful toiletries left out. The tea/coffee making facilities were very good, with biscuits and hot chocolate provided also. Breakfast was generous and covered everything you could want, fruit salad, full English, cereals, croissants etc. The location is good, within a few minutes walk of the centre of Truro and its restaurants. The only problem one might encounter would be car parking space but we had no problem. Would recommend.

We have stayed here many times and always receive such a warm welcome. Great location short walk into Truro and Peter and Norbert always so helpful with lots of information/suggestions about possible day trips. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and just so clean and comfortable, varied selection of drinks and some delicious biscuits in the room. Lovely garden at the front and parking at the back of the property (entrance for parking via a lane further down the road). We always enjoy the varied breakfast menu which includes fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit salad, selection of Traditional English breakfast dishes and toast plus jams or marmalades, tea or coffee. Quality Cornish ingredients always used. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

This guest house is absolutely perfect. Peter and Norbert (the owners) are super kind and caring. Our rooms were lovely and extremely clean. Breakfast was amazing. So many choices, hot and cold. There was also fresh fruit salad (never found something like that in guesthouses around the UK). I could not recommend this guest house enough. We were so impressed with the high standard we found here. I never found such a great attention to details in accommodations within the UK.

We had such a lovely stay and the kindness of our hosts made such a difference. First, they allowed us to check in early because our room was ready. This was such a nice touch, we would have been happy even if we had just had somewhere to keep our bags for a bit. Next, we were recommended two things that we absolutely loved- a beautiful tearoom where we tried the first tea made in England we've ever had (there is an estate near Truro) and a village not far from Truro which was one of the prettiest places we went to on our trip- and one of the nicest walks to it too. As a happy coincidence, later that day, at that village, we bumped into our host walking in the opposite direction, where he gave us a further brilliant recommendation of a little shop and cafe just around the corner- now that's service! Our room was very comfortable. We loved all the little touches- the wide range of teas, the complementary bottle of water, the little hanger to put the key, everything was the right mix of personality and thoughtfulness. Breakfast was wonderful- a really nice choice of delicious things, local coffee, a friendly and kind host and a beautiful room in which to eat. All in all a gem and I hope they continue to have every success. Oh- and the front door bell is amazing. My wife rang it but I wanted to have a go too (I held back) as it is so unique!…

A great deal of thought has been put into every detail for the comfort and convenience of the guests at Cliftons. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed. Peter and Norbert were helpful and pleasant. As other reviewers have noted, the breakfast is exceptionally good. All this and only a short walk to the town centre.
