We have just returned after staying three nights with Mike and Maddie. We were warmly greeted with a very welcome afternoon tea with home made cakes, delicious! The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms were very comfortable with all those little extras that Maddie provided. Fresh milk, home made biscuits,... More

I spent 4 wonderful nights at Drakeley House and absolutely loved it. The Brass Bedroom was not only beautifully and thoughtfully appointed with a very comfortable bed, it had a stunning view over the garden and surrounding fields. The private bathroom was immaculate too. In fact the whole house was gorgeous. Maddie and Mike have that happy knack of making... More

We stayed at this B and B for one night as we were going to a function nearby and would recommend it to anyone - the hospitality , food , accommodation are all outstanding and would rate it as one of the best places we have ever stayed! The owners are a super couple who did everything they could to... More

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left nothing was to much trouble. Maddie and Mike were the most welcoming hosts with tea and homemade cake and biscuits on arrival! We stayed in the Brass Room which was immaculate and with all the touches you would expect from a luxury hotel, the private bathroom was a couple of... More

We went back to Drakeley House again for 4 nights at the end of August 2012. Everything was superb once again, and we had a wonderful stay. We spent the days visiting the sights of the surrounding area, including Chester, Hodnett Hall, Wrexham, Shrewsbury and Telford. We had hoped to make it a bit further north east but ran out... More

We have just returned (reluctantly) from Drakely House. We had two nights in the Brass Bedroom, which was immaculate and comfortable with lovely views over the grounds and surrounding countryside. We had a very warm welcome on arrival, and then tea in the garden with the hosts Mike and Maddie (and Hattie- the dog!) A lovely quiet rural location, but... More

My wife & I can certainly add to the praise for this B & B. We had three nights there in the Garden Bedroom - a bedroom we would recommend as first rate in the B & B class . We had a delightful stay and Mike & Maddie Heath, the owners, couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were... More

Very rarely have we found such a warm and friendly welcome. The accommodation was in the de luxe class and 'management' Maddie and 'maintenance' Mike made us feel absolutely at home from their invitation to a delicious tea on arrival to their attentive farewell as we (reluctantly) departed; even terrier Hattie befriended us. Drakeley House is set in glorious Shropshire... More

We stayed at Drakeley House for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Mike and Maddie went out of their way to ensure that our stay in the garden room was without doubt, the most enjoyable stay in a B & B that either of us have ever experienced. Look forward to re-visiting in the autumn, highly recommended!
