We had a lovely twin room overlooking the canal and the hills. TV only came with the basic 5 channels, but otherwise it was a pleasant and generous sized modern room. We went for the cheaper option of evening meals in the owner's pub next door - good quality for pub food. Breakfast was buffet style in the canal-side restaurant,... more

I stayed with 3 of my colleagues here for one night. The hotel is nice - there's nothing spectacular about it but nothing awful about it either. The rooms were very spacious, but we found the whole hotel to be very hot and had to sleep with windows open all night. This posed a problem as our room was at... more

We stayed here twice, the first time was good, it was a nice clean room and quite big, I was quiet impressed, the service was good too. The second time we stayed, it was full and we got a very small room, it seemed like an old part of the hotel, it was awful the bed was lumpy and we... more

We stayed 5 nights here. My wife wasn't happy with the bed in minutes we had a room with a king size comfort bed. The breakfast room with a view over the canal and countryside and the breakfast itself was great. Wonderful grilled tomatoes. We also had a very good dinner here one evening. The staff were friendly and very... more

Upon asking if they had a portable shower chair or a plastic char I was told they didnt have one. The service at the restraunt was... more

Stayed here last year and was spoilt by being given free upgrade to a suite. Room we were given this time wasn't as large but was well equipped, modern and clean. Food in the restuarant was very good, plenty of choice and breakfast was excellent. Will certainly stay again as it is well placed for visiting the area. more

This was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. The rooms were very hot with no air conditioning on a hot and humid day. The bathroom ventilation wasn't working and we also had difficulty sleeping as our room was placed close to a wedding function where music was played until after one in the morning. We also had... more

Stayed here the night before a wedding which was being held nearby. First room we were given hadn't been cleaned, second room smelt of sewerage but the third room was lovely! Large room (all the rooms we saw were large) with double bed, sofa, dressing table, plenty of drawer space, flat screen tv and iron. Ate at the pub just... more

We have just returned from staying here with two young children for two nights and cant speak highly enough of the place. We booked over the internet and arrived Saturday mid afternoon and were greeted by smiles and helpful info. We used the swimming pool twice during our stay and found this to be a lovely well equipped place with,again,... more
