Just returned from a two night break at the Lister Arms, could not fault it all, we will return more

Stayed for two nights when travelling throught the dales on our summer holidays. The rooms were warm ,spacious and beautifully decorated. Shower excellent. All staff were pleasant and very helpful. The Lister Arms is ideally located right in the heart of beautiful Malham. Extremely handy for walks to Malham, Tarn, Gordale Scar and the magnificent Malham Cove. Rooms beautifully refurbished. Arrived in the middle of Malham Safari week - May Bank Holiday week so the pretty tranquil village was overun with people and the green space outside the hotel was littered with picnics and people. We have stayed at many hotels for short breaks and our recent visit to Malham has put the Lister Arms near the top of our list. Haven't stayed here but have seen their brochure and there is a website but have eaten some really fabulous meals here that you would not expect to get in such an isolated place. Great service and atmosphere. They also have self-catering cottage which is realy fabulous inside and has won awards. Loads of real ale/ unusual beers. more
