Beck Hall has to be one of the best kept secrets of a B&B in this lovley Highland area of England. The setting is exquesite with a Trout stream running through the property. A very tranquel setting. Great hiking trails in the area which are too numerous to mention. Simon runs the B&B which has lovley large rooms all with... more

In a lovely location and picturesque setting but I felt it did not live up to previous reviews. Our room in the extension was beautifully furnished with the most comfortablest of beds, but the strong odour of the previous occpants dog lingered for days as dogs are allowed in guests rooms. The garden looked uncared for and some of the... more

Hi LincolnshireDuchess, many thanks for your review. I'm sorry Alice and I missed you during our stay, I suspect from the dates we may have been away that week, sorry! We're only away 2 weeks of the year and leave a great crew in charge when we do go on holiday. Sorry for the undercooked haddock, we've had words with...

Just returned today 28/5/08, lovely old inn/hotel with welcoming hosts and roaring fire in lounge which also supplied books, many games and an honesty bar which was kept well supplied with all drinks & mixers plus nuts, crisps etc, even small tins of vaseline to protect walkers lips & noses in temperate climes. No rip off prices here, hubby said... more

Originally stayed on my birthday near christmas 5 years ago. We searched all over for the TV, in cupboards, everywhere but didn't find one! But it didn't matter, we sat near the fire for ages relaxing. A fabulous olde worlde place in the middle of such beautiful country. Their best asset is themselves, Alice and Simon, nothing is too much... more

Beck Hall is the essence of hospitality. The property is well maintained and frequented by repeat customers - with good reason. We came directly from overseas to regain our jet lag and it was the perfect place to do just that. Central to lots of interesting walking features, the hotel makes a great base for a multiday stay. The breakfasts... more

Are checking out the reviews on here and the fact they could accomodate our dog we booked a mid week stay for 1 night. I chose the new river view room downstairs which was doggy friendly. The location was lovely, arriving early we set off from the main car park in Malham and walked to Janets Foss a lovely waterfall... more

We stayed at Beck Hall for one night. It was excellent. We had a room in the new Annex (which will allow for the opportunity to refurbish some of the other rooms). The property verges on being a small hotel now with the annex but still has much of the coziness of a B&B. That said, it's certainly NOT an... more

Stayed at the Beck Hall, after finally finding it - Not the Beck Hall's fault at all - my Sat Nav had taken me to Airton down the road, despite putting in the postcode correctly. That said, the 2 night stay here has been excellent! We were given the Wharfe room, which though slightly on the small side, had a... more

We found Beck Hall to be brilliant and I was surprised to see what others have written below. The three nights we stayed were relaxing from start to finish. The room we had was lovely although it was the green room (the blue and green rooms seem to be highly rated). The log fire in the lounge is lovely and... more
