We stayed for the weekend for 2 nights. We were in a ground floor room just off the car park not on the road facing side. Positives - Cheap. Very quiet and an ideal location for visiting friends in Carmarthen. The shower was amazing, it was so powerful. Soft bedlinen. Negatives - The bed was very springy and had a... more

arrived at 5pm and was told the travelodge was overbooked by 3 rooms.Booked this travelodge 8 months beforehand and had paid at time of booking in full. and was told we should have rang after 3pm that day to confirm booking and it was in the small print (i cannot find that anywhere and we have visited many travelodges previously... more

Great value for money, excellent location for our trip to Fishguard. Room was very clean, spartan though serviceable. Beds were a touch on the soft side but no real complaints. Only place we stayed in our trip that had flat screen televisions in the rooms. Parking is easy and plentiful. We didn't have any breakfast but for those who would... more

The hotel was no frills but it was clean. The only exception was that the toilet bowl was cracked around the rim (good place for nasty bacteria to hid!!). Otherwise it was fine and at £29 a night for a family of 4 it was good value. more

Stayed 2 nights at Travelodge St Clears, Wales. The bathrooms fan didnt work and the smell of mould was overpowering. had to leave the windows open to try and air the room. good size room but very noisy by the motorway roundabout. Take your earplugs. Disappointed that I prepaid in full for a lousy experience. Huge bags of dirty linen... more

We've stayed here 3 times - this was the most expensive at £19. For that price, it's pretty good. Our room was refurbished and the water was hot. The heating is poor however - if you return late at night in winter, the room is freezing. But it was cheap, there was no noise and the room was very clean.... more

We rarely book Travelodge hotels as we know you get what you pay for. Our stay here reminded us why. The hot water was very sparse in the morning, luckily we had managed to get our kids showered and dressed, but my partner and I were left with having to boil the kettle. Not a great way to take a... more

Basic Travelodge booked online for £29 a night. Room was clean except for nets which were in need of a wash! Reception staff not helpful, check-in queue took quite a long time with people reading papers at the desk! No hot water during peak times both evening and mornings - a notice in reception advising of this was the first... more

Travelodge offers fairly basic rooms at budget prices so our expectations were not particularly high. However, there are some things that I expect are essential requirements, irrespective of the amount charged. One is a warm room. We arrived at the hotel in unseasonably cold weather and therefore expected our room to be warm. Unfortunately, Travelodge has a new "green" policy... more

A typical travelodge but the location is good - near the motorway but no noise and at the edge of the St Clears village which is a pleasant village for a stroll. Local grocery is handy for snacks and drinks, there are a couple of pubs and take aways for food. Handy for visiting Dylan Thomas Boathouse at Laugherne. Would... more
