The hotel is situated on the southern boundary of the Carmarthenshire seaside village of Ferryside. The village nestles on the Three Rivers estuary of Carmarthen Bay. The hotel enjoys views of Llanstephan and its ancient castle to the west and of Carmarthen Bay towards Caldy Island and Tenby to the south west. Ferryside grew from the now non-operational Ferry crossing on the river Tywi, on the ancient pilgrims route to St David's Cathedral. It is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, due to its' proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place. Kidwelly, with its' Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport centre, Airfield and proposed horse racing course all lie within approximately 10 minutes travelling time. The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas' Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about a half hour drive. more » « less

I've used this hotel regularly for business to visit customer in Carmarthen. They are one of my favourite hotels. Nice bar, friendly family orientated staff. Swimming pool and gym. Buffet food is the only let down of the hotel. If you need access to internet or telephone, ask the staff to put you in a front facing room (may cost... more

We stayed here for one night with our 5 year old son. It is a pleasant place in an out of the way village south of Carmarthen. It has clearly got a good local following, and has expanded into a nice tourist facility. The hotel rooms are bright, clean, simple but perfectly adequate. The staff are friendly and helpful. The... more

Lets start with the downsides - this place is not the Hilton, its not a grand city hotel nor is it a top business hotel. The restaurant is never going to get a Michlin star nor is the hotel ever going to host international conferences. What it is is a good solid regional hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean.... more

I stayed here while I was working in Camarthen. The hotel is run by an Elderly couple and was fantastic. The rooms were in very good condition and clean. If you are looking for a place that is quiet then you can't go wrong with this place. It is a 25 minute cab ride into Camarthen and will costs around... more

The owners, an elderly husband and wife and staff were extremely friendly. I use the word "staff" advisedly, as they seemed to run the hotel on a very few staff. When we were there, the girl overseeing breakfast (the coffee machine had broken) was also the receptionist, and had singly handedly cooked the breakfast, so was constantly on call at... more

Enjoyed my stay here as a solitary businessman and may well come back en famille. The bed and room was comfortable and the staff were all polite and friendly. Food was well cooked, very substantial (you're unlikely to make it to the desert) in the home cooking style (and none the worse for that). Pool was quiet and clean when... more

This is a fantastic hotel. If you are looking for peace and quiet it is just the place to go. Situated in a very quiet location, with some outstanding views it has excellent rooms and food to match. We only spent a weekend there, but will definately return soon. Highly recommended. more

Even though it's a 20 minute drive from Camarthen, where the client site is, I've stayed at the Three Rivers twice so far.The hotel is a bit daunting to find, given that it is located in a residential area of Ferryside. Of course, the advantage is that it's pretty quiet - i.e. no traffic (and I mean none). The picture supplied... more
