Stayed in the guesthouse for one night only. It is under new management and althought the proprietor was friendly and welcoming, the standard of the rooms were awful. The bedding smelt rather stale. Sadly I have to write a very negative review given my experience with Oakdene. I had booked 6 rooms here for 1 night several weeks in advance and paid my deposit. On the morning I was due to arrive I rang them just to check everything was ok. I was told that it was so did not think anything further.... more

The Oakdene guest house is right on the sea front of Portrush ,its an old victrorian style house with views of the sea , the owner made us very welcome and our room was really nice, i didnt want to leave it was beautifull the place was so welcoming.The next morning we had breakfast at the bay window over looking... more
I have just returned from a week in portrush staying at the oakdene guest house, we had a wonderful time, Ivan and Liz where so helpful and could not do enough, answering all are needs. The guesthouse is just of the town centre and over looks the sea(the view is out of this world) nearly as nice as the breakfast.... more
