This is a strange place. I've stayed here a few times before, but never really felt compelled to write a review previously... after this last experience I really thought I should share as I'm getting a little fed up with hotels attitudes to solo travellers. Firstly, the basics. There's a large car park and never really any problems in finding... more

Stayed at the hotel taking advantage of a three night B&B one evening meal break. We found the room large and comfortable, breakfasts fine and both the meals in the bar area and in the formal restuarant were good and value for money. The staff were helpful and the location is perfect for covering this area of DerryAntrim. This hotel... more

Stayed here with my family over the weekend. Had a fab time. Rooms in travelstop have just been refurbed and are as tasteful as some of the 4* ramadas and hiltons that we have stayed in and almost half the cost.. Nice touches with flat screen tvs, mugs, spare blankets, pillows etc. SUNDAY CARVERY LUNCH IS SOMETHING ELSE CHOICE OF... more

Oh dear. I am sorry to say that as a travel stop it would not get any medals and as a hotel it will struggle to get out of the starting blocks. I stayed with my wife for a weekend getaway and chose the 'hotel' rather than the travelodge side because I expected it to be better. The Lodge is... more

I actually grew up round the corner from the Lodge and had never stayed at it until returning to the area for a weekend visit while my parents had no room to put me up. We checked in to an average but OK room that looked out over a car park, which we didn’t mind but we did mind the... more

We booked our weekend here last minute. A friend told us about it. I have to say it was the best weekend we have had in a long time. The staff, rooms, food everything I thought it was excellent. I would certainly tell all my friends about it. It is also very homely, we made lots of friends and have... more

We stayed in the Lodge fo one night, good size rooms and an excellent restaurant and good breakfast. Better option than a tavel lodge etc for the same price more

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge recently. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and masses of it. We stayed in the travel lodge the room was very clean and quite large. I would recommend this hotel as it was excellent value for money and ideally placed to visit the antrim coast. more

Excellent!

We stayed here last week while playing golf at Portstewart. The rooms are low end motel, badly decorated but clean. The bathroom was large but again much more like a Days Inn than a "Lodge". Certainly acceptable, nice staff, but the common areas are much more in line with a "Lodge" than the rooms are. I suspect they do quite... more
