Is Portadown the land that time forgot ? Not a place for extravagant hotels, but the Seagoe is probably the best of a bad lot. The hotel is in late 70's style, but shows signs of fairly recent refurbishment. Staff have the usual charm and good humour of Ulster folk, and they really couldn't be more helpful. Reasonable sized lobby... more
They ruined my Christmas treat. We booked the Bridal suite as a treat. As we drove up the Hotel looked fine but when we went in it was really cold and my wool coat got marked as I leant against the check-in desk as it was really sticky. Went to our room which looked lovely but as we sat in... more
The Seagoe hotel is an impressive building, with a grand lobby & pleasant decor. The staff are all welcoming & professional, the rooms spacious & well laid out. BUT..... they are sadly lacking in some areas that let the hotel down badly. Arriving at midnight, the night porter was very courteous & efficient, fetched us a drink from the bar... more
My wife and I want to say that this is a very very nice hotel to stay in......The staff of this hotel are superior people in every way....The only thing I can suggest is that we had a 95 year old relative, when we arrived the parking spaces in front of the hotel were all taken by cars that did... more
I love this hotel. I have to travel frequently for work and have stayed in some dives for a stupid amount of money (the Best Western in Worthing springs to mind), but the Seagoe is a true gem. The welcome is warm, the rooms are huge and the food is just fantastic. Also you are not paying stupid corporate rates... more
Stayed here while on a business trip. I thought that the decor of the rooms realy needed updating, and anywhere which has blankets instead of duvets in this day & age gets a black mark in my book! The water was only ever luke warm, and the wifi access does not extend to all rooms. On the plus side -... more
I booked this hotel without knowing anything about it, and not having read any reviews, and when I stayed I was very pleasantly suprised. I have to say the hotel was excellent in all aspects. I had a large room, with all the facilities you would expect, the hotel was spacious and well decorated, service was good, and the food... more
I stayed here on my birthday with my fiance, and well being female ya know how fussy we can be, well all i can say is from the moment we arrived in the hotel it was excellent, from the pleasant and smiling receptionists jenny & lynne to the resturant staff colleen they sure know how to make you feel welcome... more
Stayed at the Seagoe Hotel on a Saturday night. Absolute bargain at £65 for 2 people inc breakfast. Room was large with a super king size bed, modern and very very quiet. The hotel has long corridors and the rooms are well away from the bar and function room areas. The corridors have lots of double doors and the result... more
