Having looked at reviews before arrival we were concerned that the reception might be spoiled by the hotel. It could not have been further than the case. As the mother of the bride I was nervous that our guests would have good experiences of the special day, and indeed they did. All of the party really enjoyed the day and... more

From reading the reviews we were a bit worried about staying at the seagoe, but as it was a wedding we were going to at the hotel, there wasn't much of an option. The hotel was absolutely fine, couple of tatty edges on some of the carpets but thats hardly the end of the world. The rest of the communal... more

I am just back from a Seminar I arranged at the Seagoe Hotel...what a mistake i made...looks lovely on the outside (from a distance) but what a disaster once inside the doors. The room i hired was filthy, stains all over the carpet; chairs were stained that everyone thought twice before sitting on them, the carpet was ripped and cause... more

Arrived back from holiday on 4 .9.09. With little food in the house we decided to go to the Seagoe Hotel for a bar snack to stave off the hunger. We would have been better going for a take-away. The outside of the hotel belies a very shoddy interior. Broken glass in the door to the bar - absolutely shocking... more

Went for tea one evening - service was def not 'service with a smile'. Staff need to learn how to speak to people, had to ask for a menu. Seats and tables dirty, food not great. If you're staying in this area, spend 15mins in car and travel to Banbridge to Belmont Hotel. Food, service and facilities first class more

I had what was really a fabulous large room complete with a large seating area. The only problem really was that the settee completely collapsed when I sat on it. Fortunately for me (no longer a spring chicken) I was not alone in the room at the time otherwise I might have spent a very uncomfortable night stuck there! Another... more

What a difference a year makes - the new owners of this hotel have obviously decided to run this hotel until the furnishings fall apart. This was a new build and the original owners spent a fortune on carpets and furnishings and the hotel really looked the part. How disapointing to see shabby - worn carpets - seating in the... more

Stayed here for a night in Feb 2009 on business. When arrived was told that they had lost my booking and were fully booked, however they managed to find me a room (which was huge). Very clean and well laid out bedroom, bar food was great and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Would highly recommend as a business... more

We spent three lovely nights at this wonderful Hotel. We were part of a large gruop of people attending a wedding in Lurgan and had to go ahead with the Bride & Groom's arrangements. But after reading some of the reviews that had been posted we were a wee bit worried about what we would find on our arrival. We... more

Stayed at the Seagoe for 2 nights while attending a "family get-together". Checked in before our room was ready, Joe at reception was lovely and very cheery (the rest of the reception staff came across as if they couldn't be bothered). We went out with family for the day and did not return to the hotel till much later that... more
