Our golf society has travelled all over Europe and the USA during the last 30 years. We have been to Northern Ireland twice before, so we know our way around and what this area has to offer. We found the Cul-Erg quite by accident and we are very glad we did. The owners (Marie & JJ) make every effort to... more

Great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. There was a lovely choice for breakfast and all that we ate was delicious. The house is very homely, comfortable and extremely well maintained. Our holiday to N.I. has been a great success all round and we shall definitely return and advise our friends to... more

Very friendly welcome and lovely rooms. The B&B is near a lively row of restaurants along Harbour Road. Portsteward's strand is somewhat further away, but we were interesting in touring the larger area by car anyway. The management offered good suggestions for the area. Easy to find and reasonably simple on-street parking. more

Cul-arg is very clean, rooms comfortably, owners nice & friendly. Try and get a room on the topfloor if you are a light sleeper as other guests can be very noisey. The breakfast could do with having a few bits extra. more

My family and I had a most enjoyable stay at the Cul Erg. JJ and Marie were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged a room for us so we were all together and JJ had lots of good advice on what to do in the area and things to do with our 2 girls. The room... more

Our party of four stayed in one double and one twin room - both spacious, clean and well decorated. We had a good breakfast, with plenty of choices. Service was friendly and efficient. Would go back. more

I sure this is a good place to stay but the proffessionalism and the courtesy is something to be desired.Despite booking 5 months in advance(3 phonecalls and 3 emails to check booking!!!)we were informed ,on the way to the airport, that there was no longer room for us!!(7 months pregnant!!)Explanation was weak ;she had clearly double booked and had left... more

Was dissappointed that this review had been posted. Yes the couple were contacted, at late notice about the booking, unfortunately this was as a result of another couple who made a mistake when booking a Twin room rather than a Double, as I explained to her at the time. Josie failed to mention that she was actually part of a...

Spent a Saturday night at Cul Erg. Just a quick stop but would strongly recommend. Room spaciious, newly decorated and bathroom looked to be brand new. Excellent shower. Twin room on ground floor at front with nice big windows. Nice to have rooms on ground floor. JJ was very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat on Sat. night. Sunday breakfast... more
