The Bath arms is a nice location, (nightmare to find no sign posts anywhere!) nice building, and lovely patio area . Overall it was a pleasant stay but spoilt by being kept waiting and noisy late night drinkers (oh and the ten raucous business men that were seated behind us at dinner even though another two dinning rooms were free..... more

Having stayed for one night recently, I would describe this place as pleasant, set in a truly stunning part of the world, but let down by the usual problems with having hotels in old buildings. I think it has been sometime since I have stayed in a hotel that had such bad sound-proofing. Together with that, the rooms of the... more

The Bath Arms looked like the perfect place to stay but we are so sad to say this was not the case. We had the "Little Sparrow Room" which believe me is not just little it is tiny. Just as we started to unpack I started to notice how tired and tatty the room was, dirty skirting boards, stained carpet,... more

I was saddened to read about this guest’s experience. Whilst it may be scant consolation for the reviewer, we have just embarked on a comprehensive refurbishment program which is well underway in other parts of the hotel and is due to be completed everywhere very soon. Although most guests seem very happy with Tamworth, we do take on-board that each...

Having been slightly put off by the reviews we had mixed thoughts. We arrived and were greated by a very kind and helpful Lucy who showed us to our room which was all ready, the room was amazing, we then came down to the main hotel and had a look around and we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was... more

we found the bath arms when looking around longleat in the summer and vowed to come back to stay there. set above an ivy clad pub on the door step of the longleat escape it seems ideal. the restaurant had been lovely and the rooms looked very trendy in the pics. we arrived to a pretty peacock room with everything... more

The room was tired and in need of redecoration. There was handles missing off some of the furniture .The bathroom was clean but again in much need of redecoration .We had to ring reception and ask... more

We booked to stay and combine a visit with Longleat. The hotel website looked very nice and I secured the last room at a special rate of £85. On arrival we were shown to a tiny room within a converted stable, the room was nicely decorated BUT a) it was very small and B) the walls were stud walls and... more

Read The Sunday Times review and booked, then was slightly concerned by some of the negative reviews here...as it goes, those writing on TripAdvisor were spot on. We stayed for my wife's birthday and it was a good 2.5hrs from London...a very average place for the distance, though location is stunning. Very good service with staff more that willing to... more

We stayed for one night the Bird in the Hand room in this lovely hotel. it was clean, tidy and spacious and decorated really nicely. It is right at the top of the house and so has low ceilings so would probably not suit anyone too tall! We had dinner in the restaurant and despite running out of one of... more

I was worried about visiting this hotel after reading some of the reviews, fortunately it wasn't as bad as expected. The hotel is in a lovely part of the world and brilliant for visiting Longleat House & Safari Park. The building is a very attractive and I liked the decor inside the hotel. We were in the Peacock room which... more
