After booking this hotel and reading the review on this site I have to say I was a little aprehensive however this turned out to be completely unecessary. As you would expect with such a small hotel there were minimual staff but rather than result in a low standard of service it was friendly and welcoming – no request was... more

"Prepare to be enchanted" says the Rudloes website and judging by the pictures on the web pages and the colour brochure, you would expect just that. However, after years working in service industries, if I have learned one thing, it's do not raise your customer's expectations beyond that of your capability to deliver. The Rudloe, on approaching, is everything you're... more

We have just returned from a romantic Valentine's weekend at this enchanting hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt as if we had been transported back to the victorian ages. The sitting and dining rooms are beautiful, the open fires adding to the ambience. Our room (7) had a magnificant four poster bed, sitting area, and lovely bathroom. The... more

My mum, boyfriend and myself stayed at Rudloe Hall for the special 3 day Christmas Break. We didn't know really what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is an intimate one with fantastic hospitality. The hotel staff deserve a mention as they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and really made our stay feel homely. Rudloe... more

In need of a stress-free and above all comfortable few days' rest, my wife and I were very fortunate indeed to discover the Rudloe Hall Hotel. Immediately upon entering the attractive Victorian Gothic building, we received the warmest possible welcome from Penny and were shown to our room - a complimentary upgrade. Our room was comfortable with a beautiful view... more

The grounds are very nice and the rooms and common areas are dated and could do with some work. Construction work going on around the building and what appeared to be a sewage leak in the parking area. Views are beautiful of the Bath valley. more

Having just arrived back from the worst weekend away 27th September 2008 we have ever been on I felt that I had to join Tripadvisor and warn other potential travellers of Rudloe Hall. On arrival the outside of the property has the WOW factor, Old and inviting, as you go through the main doors you are greeted by charming staff... more

This is a charming little hotel that is run by very friendly staff but the facilities do let it down a bit. When my fiancee and I stayed for the weekend 9 hole pitch and putt golf course was an overgrown meadow and all of the snooker cues were broken. If hotels are going to get away with charging high... more

Rudloe Hall was the venue for our wedding on 16 August 2008. Apart from providing a beautiful setting with the views from the gardens, the gardens themselves and the Victorian Gothic architecture the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them and coupled with the positive attitude and energy from Gui, Darren, Penny and Davide the chef (to... more
