The Twin Oaks Hotel Is a wonderful place to stop at. Great countryside views, good rooms, helpful and pleasant staff. Food was great and the bar has a nice variety of beer and liquor. Over all experience was Great. more

The room promised a view of Bolsover castle - suffice to say we didn't get the promised view but this was pretty much the least of our concerns. Definitely the most disreputable establishment I have ever had the misfortune of visiting, even if it is marketed as a "budget" hotel. I have stayed in £1-a-night properties in remote areas of SE Asia which put this to shame. Shabby, dirty and in need of serious rennovation. We stayed 2 nights @ this hotel as members of a large wedding party - not one of whom had a positive guest experience. Guests in the party had to ask for clean bed linen, 2 reported smells (drains & tobacco), another was kept awake by an ill-fitting door rattling in its housing and 2 checked out after 1 night.... more
