My wife and I were visiting Chesterfield with friends for my team (Exeter)'s last game of the season - we were booked in here by the person organising the trip as the place everyone else was booked into didn't quite have enough rooms. And what a great job he did. Although located on something of a main road, it was... More

After discovering Abigail's by chance some years ago, we now wouldn't dream of going anywhere else when in the area. Debbie and Gail make us feel that we are welcome friends rather than passing guests. My partner is registered blind and nothing is too much trouble to make her stay enjoyable and easy to manage. Lovely clean room, great range... More

I stayed at Abigail's during my first ever visit to Chesterfield in August 2012. I liked it so much I went back in September and I am going back again in December. Good rooms, clean and comfy. Very good English breakfast and a homely atmosphere. But above all, its the owners Gail and Debbie ( and her family) that stand... More

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. One of the friendliest and cleanest b&b's we stayed in over 6 weeks of touring. Value 2nd to none. Bedroom bit small, huge bathroom and excellent full English breakfast Debbie & Gail very friendly

Abigails provides good value for money. Room was very clean albeit a bit small; plenty of tea, coffee, etc provided in the room; service excellent - everyone was very friendly and very helpful; breakfast was excellent - all freshly cooked; plenty of off-road parking. As we live in a very quiet area, we did find the traffic a little noisy... More

Before booking we contacted some other b&bs in the area and several did not take one night bookings and many did not even bother to reply to my enquiry email. 'Abigails' were helpful and quick to reply. We stayed in a twin room, en suite with bath and shower. There was a selection of teas/coffee in the room, plenty of... More

Stayed at Abigails for 2 weeks during our recent visit to the UK. Had a lovely stay. The ladies were so nice and took great care of us. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Thanks Debbie, Jackie and Gail! Would definately stay again.

We have been visiting Abigails at least once a year for the past 12 years. During this time we have stayed in most of the rooms and we have found them all to be spotlessly clean and comfortable with a well stocked refreshment tray, tv and free wifi. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and is highly recommended. Abigails... More

Feel honoured to have stayed in such a happy environment, miss not visiting there for a while because of our darling dog who has colitis which makes a stay away very difficult. But fingers crossed one day.

We picked Abigail's very last minute as we had some Peak District walking and exploring to do and didn't fancy the drive home between our days out. Being a bank holiday we didn't hold out much hope at all, but were pleasantly surprised by this place. It felt more like staying with family and friends than a bed & breakfast.... More
