Bakewell is my family home and we have been staying at the Rutland Arms Hotel for years. The Hotel was formerly owned by a rather eccentric person and standards generally were falling. This has never detracted, however, from our experience of the hardworking and dedicated team. Lately, it has been taken over by a local family and we are seeing... More

Booked a night away with a Groupon voucher at the Rutland Arms Hotel. Had a great relaxing night, staff are so friendly and helpful, room was comfy and had everything we needed. Local pubs are within a 2minute walk from the hotel and when you return you can sit with a pint in front of the fire... Definitely will return!!... More

We came to the Rutland Arms hotel for a special occasion, a 60th birthday for a lady who has always loved Bakewell and the stories surrounding the history of the Rutland Arms Hotel and the Bakewell pudding.A perfect place for four ladies to take afternoon tea. We arrived in the bar area to see four other ladies tucking in to... More

The hotel has an excellent location in the very centre of bakewell and on the surface seems ok. The rooms are of a good size and relatively clean if not a bit old fashioned. However, if you scratch this surface you will find numerous faults within the rooms, poor service and when fully booked, a hotel that is barely able... More

Stayed one night for dinner B&B, drinks priced like a city centre hotel, which is the only downbeat comment I could make, food was very, very good and the room was very pleasing with the bed being extremely comfortable. The staff were all extremely pleasant, helpful, courteous and all worked together to ensure you enjoy your experience while staying at... More

I was in europe for over two months with my partner. Some hotels we just booked and some we took a chance on. We were advised to AVOID this place when we were asking around for accommodation. But we inspected the rooms ourselves as we always do when we just DROP IN. We booked and the rates were very reasonable...... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms was well appointed, the food was generally good and most of the staff were efficient and effective. We stayed Friday and Saturday night with a group of walkers. We were accommodated in the main hotel, others were in the annex across the road. Our room was small but clean. The room was... More
