Jackie met us on arrival, and made us so welcome. Our bedroom was beautiful, and so nicely decorated, with a sumptuous bathroom, lots of lovely smellies, and immaculately clean! Off we went to the local pub, with a head torch lent by Jackie, and armed with her suggestion of walks for the next day.She thinks of everything to make her... More

On arrival Jackie and Neil greeted us with tea and home made Chocolate Brownies, which we devoured in front of a log fire in the comfortable guest lounge. The bedrooms are clean and well equipped. The Castle Cliffe is ideally situated for walking in Mosal Dale and the Monsal Trail. There are two pubs well within walking distance in the... More

A great location sent in indeallic setting. The room was beautiful, cosy and comfy and the breakfast was hearty setting us up for the day. A couple of pubs near by, I'd reccommend the Packhorse in Little Longstone, a 10 minute stroll if that down the bank. Well run and friendly hosts in Neil JKackie, nothing was too much trouble... Stayed for 5 nights, arrived on Sunday and was greeted with tea and cake by Neil and Jackie, which we eat in the beautiful garden. We took our bikes and these were stored in a shed out the back. We stayed in room 2 which was a great room with large en-suite bathroom. The breakfasts were great with plenty of... More

We stayed here for 5 nights: the B&B was lovely with clean, well-appointed rooms, a very friendly welcome (tea and cake in the garden), and a super breakfast each morning. The view from the house down Monsal Dale was beautiful and there was lots of information on local walks and attractions available for guests to use. Free WiFi and a... More

I stayed at Castle Cliffe for two nights in July 2011. The location is spectacular, just 100 yards from the viewpoints at the Monsal Head hotel. CC is ideal for walkers since there are wonderful walks right from the door. The scenery and the flora in nearby Cressbrook Dale, Millers Dale and Lathkill Dale would take some beating ! We... More

Neil and Jackie made us very welcome in their home. The tea and cake on arrival was most welcome. My husband and I stayed in room 2 which was lovely. We especially enjoyed the window seat in the room. Everything about the B & B was lovely especially the Oat Cake Special breakfast. There was only the choice of two... More
