I stayed with my friend for a couple of nights on a getaway weekend. The B&B was beautiful, spotless and extremely welcoming. And just across the street from a park/playground, so very good for kids. The owners were fantastic - they even gave us a lift to the head of the Monyash trail 10 miles out of town. The room... More

After 26 years together, two children and two dogs,we decided to get married. We spent the last three days our our honeymoon at the Haven. Been to Bakewell many times before but never stayed there overnight, makes you realise how much you can miss with only visiting the picturesque Bakewell and the surrounding Peak District National Park for the day.... I stayed at 'The Haven' for one night on 25th October. I found it a very comfortable, well run B&Band good value. The couple that run it couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. I took my mum up to Chatsworth for her birthday, Bakewell is a lovely spot, the scenery is breathtaking in places and has close proximity to... More

Had a fantastic weekend largely due to the great location & hospitality at the Haven, made to feel exceptionally welcome, food both provided and recommended by our hosts was fantastic, and overall a very good value considering what was on offer. Tastefully decorated with excellent en suite bathroom and one of the few places you can book which looks exactly... More

This was our second time staying at the Haven and again we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. We stayed in the groundfloor room which has been recently redecorated and refurbished to a very high standard and has a lovely big shower in the ensuite. Jeremy and Barbara who run the B&B are extremely friendly and helpful, happy to... More

Just returned from our second visit here and loved every second. We had the ground floor suite and it was perfect. As always, Jeremy and Barbara were the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always make you feel so welcome. My advice is, ignore the moaning reviews on here and book yourself in for a... More

The Haven is perfectly situated to explore Bakewell, the surrounding countryside (including the scenic Monsal trail) and stately homes such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and our hosts, Barbara and Jeremy, made us feel very welcome and gave us loads of very useful advice on walking trails, restaurants and local... Really friendly B&B. Our host, Jeremy, gave us some brilliant local advice ranging from recommending a fab Italian restaurant for our evening meal to the very worthwhile Monsal bike trail along old train tracks. Back to the B&B though our room had just been refurbished with a lovely new bathroom too. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty More
